‘Anti-Malaria Air-Conditioner Will Boost Customers’ Experience’

LG Electronics has a reputation for contributing to the building of infrastructure and social programs in Africa.  They are currently launching their latest project which is an anti- mosquito air conditioner .  The unit provides maximum comfort and reliability as well as a repellent that is harmless to humans but can kill 82 percent of the mosquitoes in a 24 hour period.  The machine is targeted to the African markets in an effort to address the prevalence of malaria.

LG Electronics has stated that its recently launched anti-malaria air-conditioner will boost customers’ comfort and make them stay healthy always, even in mosquitoes infested areas.

More and More Texas Doctors Leaving Medicare

In 2010, the number of doctors who left Medicare reached an all time high. Doctors have become fed up with the declining reimbursements from the federal program.

Texas doctors fed up with Medicare’s declining reimbursements dropped out of the government-funded program for the elderly in record numbers in 2010, according to new data.

One hundred and seventy-two doctors formally ended involvement with Medicare last year, the most yet in a surge of “opt-outs” that has claimed more than 450 Texas doctors since 2008. Before 2007, the number averaged a handful a year.

“Those numbers show the growth in opt-outs is definitely a trend and that the system is dysfunctional,” said Dr. Susan Rudd Bailey, president of the Texas Medical Association, the state’s largest organization of doctors. “It’s a real concern that more doctors are being forced out of the system every year.”

Since 2001, Medicare reimbursement has been cut about 20 percent in inflation-adjusted dollars. TMA officials contend those cuts are forcing doctors out of the system.

January Experiences Little Impact from Tax Cut

The tax cut that was supposed to help the economy has made little impact in January. Consumers did not increase their spending as much as economists were predicting.

A Social Security tax cut that economists say should help the economy this year is off to a slow start. Consumers increased their spending last month at the weakest pace since June, even with the extra money in their paychecks.

Some people may be using the additional money to pay down holiday credit card bills or higher gas prices, analysts said. And harsh weather may have deterred some people from shopping in January.

Personal finance experts say the real test of the tax cuts impact will come this spring, when the Easter holiday sales begin.

Still, consumers increased spending by only 0.2 percent in January, the smallest gain since June, the Commerce Department said Monday. At the same time, their incomes rose 1 percent — the biggest jump in nearly two years and a reflection of the tax cut.
